WHERE ARE THE BIRDHOUSES OF OUR ERA?
While beginning the design process, this question is raised and considered as the main design problem. More elaborately the question is: “ How can a birdhouse be designed, considering today’s conception and economical production systems, respecting the collective memory of Turkish society over animal shelters.

TECHNICAL APPROACH
Thanks to interlocking pieces; plates damaged, decayed could be changed very easily without harming other plates and parts.
There are holes in the lower covering plate to provide effective passive ventilation to the birds achieving a sustainable indoor quality.
The interlocking system which holds the base plate.
There are four water evacuation holes on the bottom plate.
All the panels are cut from one 90x100 cm plate using CNC or laser machine, immensely reducing the material lost in the production process. This way, the production is exceptionally fast with the lowest lost material rates.
